Since there is no independent consumer or industry organization that tests or rates
the performance of lawn sprinkler pumps, we have decided to independently test and compare the most commonly used lawn sprinkler pumps. |

TEST PARAMETERS: We attached each pump to a water well with a PVC drop line.
Suction Lift was 10' No Check valve was installed in the suction line. The objective of the test was (a) to see how long each pump took to prime and (b) after turning off the pump, see if it would reprime itself without adding any water This is a very demanding test, but closely simulates what happens in the real world when a rock gets caught in the check valve rendering it useless. |
